Starbuck’s Verismo Milk Frother…For Soy Milk Too!

A few days before the world was supposed to end (according to the Mayans), I decided that I should attempt to fulfill a few of my realistic wishes “just in case.” Since I am a Starbuck’s “Chai Tea, Soy Misto” junkie, I made the very important decision to use my only Bed, Bath and Beyond 20% off coupon on an automatic milk frother.

If you’ve read my prior post about my “Frothy Hot Chai Tea Lattes,” you will see that my Starbuck’s frother was a wise purchase since I was previously using a manual frother with a glass carafe to make my favorite drink. In yet another recent attempt to move into the 21st century, I also purchased my Tofu Xpress Gourmet Food Press which I love. Maybe I’ll get wild and purchase an electric can opener in the near future too!

In any event, I wanted to tell you how much I like this simple little appliance. It’s easy to use and it delivers on its promise to create the perfect foam for your favorite drink in 90 seconds. I really like foamy drinks and this frother quickly produced ample foam. Here is what it looks like out of the box…

All you have to do to prepare the foam is to fill the frother with soy milk to one of the marked lines on the inside. There are min and max lines…

For the record, Soy Dream’s Vanilla Soy Milk is my favorite and I use the organic Tazo Chai tea bags to make this drink…

Put the lid on the frother and place it on its base which gets plugged in. Push the power button on. Its red light will go on while frothing takes place…

After 90 seconds, the perfect foam is created. At this time, the frother will automatically shut off and its red light will go out. Make sure the frother is off and that you unplug it before removing the lid.

Pour the creamy foam over your prepared tea (or coffee or expresso) and use a long spoon to add extra foamy dollops to your drink. I sprinkle my soy tea mistos with cinnamon too!

I really like my new frother! On a side note, I already broke my New Year’s resolution to cut down on vegan cookies. I had an Alternative Baking Company “Luscious Lemon Poppyseed Cookie” with my tea and it was lemony good! A must try!

Have a good day and don’t forget…the next time the end of the world is predicted by some ancient civilization, be sure to use your Bed, Bath and Beyond coupon wisely!
