The following three things are on the rise in the vegan community. Since I don’t want you to miss out on the action, please take note of the following…
1. Jason Wrobel’s vegan cooking show “How To Live To 100” airs tonight at 8 pm on the Cooking Channel. This is bound to be a winning show because we can finally watch a cooking show without heading towards a heart attack at the same time. Jason Wrobel is a world-renowned leader in organic raw vegan cuisine, culinary education and epicurean entertainment. He has some impressive celebrity fans including Woody Harrelson, Russell Simmons, Jeremy Piven and Steve Buscemi. Watch the show!
2. Dun-Well Doughnuts located at 222 Montrose Avenue in Brooklyn, New York seems to be all the rage. This old fashioned vegan doughnut shop was started by two college friends who shared a passion for vegan cooking. Christopher Hollowell (the “Well” in Dun-Well) called up his buddy Dan Dunbar (the “Dun” in Dun-Well) after having watched a Simpson’s anniversary episode that featured Homer’s favorite doughnuts rather prominently. Christopher was unable to find a vegan doughnut shop in NYC to satisfy his craving. As a result, Christopher and Dan agreed to make it their quest to create an amazing vegan doughnut and open NYC’s first all-vegan doughnut shop.
I have been reading nothing but stellar reviews about Dun-Well doughnuts and I can’t wait to try them myself. They have over 200 flavors including Peanut Butter & Jelly, Cookie Monster and Cinnamon Sugar. They also serve vegan ice cream with their doughnuts. YUM!

3. Fine & Raw Chocolate Company, a four-year old chocolatier, was recently featured on the show LX New York. Apparently, a 2,500 square foot Wonka-Like Chocolate Factory and Store has opened up two blocks away from the Morgan L stop in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. The factory located at 288 Seigel Street hosts tours and includes a section for a “Chocolate Jungle” complete with two cocoa trees so that people could be taken through the whole process, says owner Daniel Sklar.
Fine & Raw Chocolate sounds like a great Valentine’s Day idea to me. Hint, hint! Check out this wonderful Daily Candy video…
This looks like a great trifecta. Right? Don’t miss out! Namaste!
