A few days ago, I spent a lovely day with my brother strolling the cobblestone streets of SOHO as all princesses love to do!! Our first stop was the brand new “galeria Melissa” located at 102 Greene Street. As some of you may know, Melissa’s is a Brazilian based company which makes the most comfortable and eco-friendly PVC shoes. She has teamed up with some of the world’s most renowned fashion designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Jason Wu for several of her collections. Anyway, the store is a WORK OF ART in every way and just walking into it is an experience!!! The salesgirl was fabulous and I tried on a variety of shoes. Many styles and colors were brought to me from the stockroom which were not on the sales floor. I ultimately decide to buy a gold sandal and a navy pair of Melissa+Campana ballet flats. I left the store giddy with my purchases in their very cute packaging!
After a few hours of shopping, we headed for dinner at Wild Ginger located at 380 Broome Street. This Pan-Asian vegan restaurant was small and cozy and the waitress was warm and attentive. My brother and I both ordered the Hot and Sour Soup. We also shared the Scallion Pancakes with Mango Sauce and Tempeh in Satay Sauce as appetizers. The bowls of soup were huge and everything was really great!! But the star of the show was the Orange Seitan which is a MUST for all future diners!!! The Malaysian Curry Stew was also very good with its coconut curry flavor. We ate so much that we skipped dessert but I noted that there were many good choices on the menu.
All in all, it was a great day in SOHO!!!
